This multi-currency guide covers why we use a single currency on bowser, how currency exchange works if you need to fund your account from outside Indonesia, which payment methods handle cross-border transfers, and how to manage your account balance in IDR. Understanding these mechanics helps you avoid unexpected conversion costs or delays.
Why bowser uses a single currency system
Bowser operates in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) because it is the local currency for our primary market and payment infrastructure. All our payment methods—DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, and direct bank transfers to mobile banking, local payment, online payment, and e-wallet—work natively in IDR. This eliminates the need for real-time currency conversion and associated fees.
Using a single currency on bowser simplifies account management. Your balance never fluctuates due to exchange rates. When you deposit our welcome offer via mobile banking or bank transfer, your bowser account shows exactly our welcome offer. When you withdraw the same amount, you receive our welcome offer back (minus any small processing fees from your payment provider, if applicable). No hidden currency-conversion charges occur on bowser.
Our live-dealer tables, slot games, and sportsbook markets all display odds and payouts in IDR. This consistency means you understand your potential winnings without mental currency conversion. During Liga 1 matches, Piala AFF tournaments, or when you are playing live blackjack or roulette on bowser, all wager amounts and payouts are calculated in IDR.
Multi-currency platforms often charge conversion spreads (markups) each time you exchange money. Bowser avoids this entirely by maintaining a single currency. If you need to convert foreign currency to IDR before depositing, you handle that conversion through your own bank—not through bowser. We charge no currency markup on top of your account balance.
This design also protects you during volatile exchange-rate periods. Your bowser balance is fixed in IDR. You do not wake up one day to find your account balance has changed due to market movements. The only changes to your balance come from your own deposits, withdrawals, gameplay wins or losses, and any promotions we apply.
How to deposit if you are outside Indonesia
If you are outside Indonesia and want to fund your bowser account, you must first convert your local currency to Indonesian Rupiah, then deposit via one of our payment channels. The currency conversion happens outside bowser—typically through your bank or a money-transfer service like Wise or similar platforms.
For example, if you are in a country that uses a different currency, your bank can send IDR directly to a local payment, online payment, e-wallet, or mobile banking account linked to your bowser deposit. You specify the amount in your local currency, and your bank performs the conversion at their rate. The IDR amount arrives at the Indonesian bank account, and you then transfer it to bowser via bank deposit or local payment.
Alternatively, some money-transfer services accept your local currency and deliver IDR to an Indonesian bank account or mobile wallet within minutes. These services charge a fee (usually 2-non-specific info depending on the service), but they are often faster than traditional banks. Once you have IDR in an Indonesian account or e-wallet, transferring to bowser is immediate.
Payment methods and their currency handling
All payment methods on bowser accept and deliver only IDR:
- online payment: Mobile wallet working in IDR. Deposits and withdrawals in IDR only.
- e-wallet: E-wallet supporting IDR. No multi-currency accounts available.
- mobile banking: Integrated with Gojek, operates in IDR exclusively.
- local payment: Shopee's payment system, IDR-based.
- online payment: Government digital payment platform, IDR only.
- Direct bank transfers (e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment): Indonesian banks operating in IDR. International transfers may incur bank fees, but the final amount bowser receives is in IDR.
- e-wallet: Indonesia's unified payment system, processes IDR.
If you attempt to deposit via a bank transfer in a foreign currency, your Indonesian bank will either reject it or perform a forced conversion at their rate (which may be unfavorable). We recommend confirming your bank's conversion policy before attempting international deposits.

Withdrawals and currency considerations
When you withdraw from bowser, the IDR amount is sent back to your original payment method or linked account. If your payment method is a domestic e-wallet (mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking) or Indonesian bank account, the IDR arrives unchanged. No conversion occurs on bowser's side.
If you withdraw to an international bank account, your receiving bank may convert IDR to your local currency. This conversion happens at your bank's rate, not at bowser's rate. Bowser sends only IDR; your bank handles any foreign-exchange activity on the receiving end.
To avoid surprise conversions, use a domestic Indonesian payment method for both deposits and withdrawals if possible. This keeps all transactions in IDR throughout and avoids any third-party conversion markup.
Pricing transparency during live games
All bowser games display prices and payouts in IDR. When you place a wager on a Liga 1 match, play live blackjack at our roulette tables, or spin Aviator or Sweet Bonanza slots, your stake and potential winnings are shown in IDR. You always know exactly how much IDR you are wagering and what you could win, without needing to convert currency mentally.
During peak hours—such as Liga 1 opening matches or Piala AFF tournaments—transaction volume may increase, but all amounts remain in IDR. Our servers do not change currency values during high traffic periods.
Account balance display and management
Your bowser account balance appears in the top-right corner of the app or website, always in IDR. The balance includes your cash (from deposits and winnings) and any bonus credits if you claimed a promotion. You can view a detailed breakdown in your wallet section.
If you have multiple bowser accounts (which is not recommended and may violate our terms), each account maintains its own IDR balance separately. Balances do not transfer between accounts. If you need to consolidate funds, withdraw from one account via your payment method and deposit to another.
During Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, Imlek, or Nyepi holidays, your balance remains unchanged. These holidays do not affect account currency or balance management on bowser—only payment processing speed may vary depending on your bank's holiday schedule.
No hidden currency markups on bowser
Bowser does not apply currency conversion spreads or foreign-exchange markups. Your IDR balance is always your actual IDR balance. Any conversion fees come from your bank or payment provider, never from bowser.
Technical support for currency-related questions
If you experience unusual balance changes, see transactions you do not recognize, or suspect a currency-conversion error, contact our bowser support team through live chat, email, or in-app help. Provide your transaction ID and a description of the issue. Our team can review your account activity and clarify any balance changes.
If your bank performed an unexpected conversion when processing your bowser deposit or withdrawal, bowser did not initiate that conversion—your bank did. We recommend contacting your bank directly to understand their conversion policy and rates. However, our support team can help you verify the IDR amount bowser received or sent to confirm no error occurred on our end.
